Driving Directions: (also
see map page)
From Santa Fe:
Take 285 north to Nambe, then State road 503 about 8
miles (watch speed limit near Nambe) to road 98 (old 520), left on 98,
about 2 miles into Chimayo where it ends at State road 76. Right on 76
uphill to Truchas.
From Taos:
Pick up 518 just before Ranchos de Taos, left, to Talpa
(Las Vegas Highway) about 15 miles to State Rd. 75 and Penasco, a right
turn. About 5 miles and just through Penasco, State Rd. 76 enters on the
left. A left turn onto 76 takes you all the way to Truchas where you make
another left turn at the T to enter town.
From Truchas:
As you enter Truchas, there is an unmarked gas station
on the left and Tafoya's Truchas Store on the right. Go straight ahead,
due east towards the mountains for about 1 1/2 miles until you see the
large wooden gate with red reflectors, Rancho Arriba and B& B signs,
number 373 on the gate (on right). To keep livestock out and the ranch's
horses in, leave the gate as you find it - open or closed.
